v2.9.0 -- UI Scaling + Quest XP Balance

Two updates rolled into one: a new zoom feature and a quest reward balance pass. New: UI Zoom Controls You'll find a new magnifying glass button in the top-left header, right next to the version notes icon. Click it to open a zoom panel with 8 presets: 0.5x / 0.67x -- Shrink the UI for high-DPI displays or ultrawide monitors where Windows scaling makes everything too large Normal -- Default 1x scale 1.5x through 4x -- Scale the UI up for large monitors, TV setups, or anyone who wants bigger text and icons Your zoom preference is saved automatically and persists between sessions. Balance: Quest XP Rewards Due to some timely feedback, I reworked how timed and side quests calculate XP rewards. Previously, quest XP used a flat base value multiplied by your tier -- this meant early-game quests could grant 8+ levels in one shot, while late-game quests gave almost nothing. What changed: Timed Quests now always grant roughly 1.5 levels' worth of XP for your current skill level, no matter where you are in progression. Side Quests now grant roughly 25% of a level's worth of XP, scaled the same way. Gold rewards are unchanged. This means quest rewards stay meaningful from start to finish -- no more feast-or-famine XP spikes. v2.8.1 - Timed Quest Hotfix Hey everyone! Quick hotfix to squash some bugs we found in yesterday's Dynamic Timed Quest overhaul. Bug Fixes Save File Bloat - Expired timed quests were sticking around in your save data forever instead of being cleaned up. Over long sessions this could cause gradual save file growth. Fixed - expired quests are now properly removed from both memory and your save. Missing Timed Quests - If the game tried to generate a timed quest but couldn't find a valid target for the chosen template (for example, a skill-based quest when your level didn't match any craftable items), the entire 2-hour generation window was wasted and you'd get nothing. The system now tries other templates before giving up, so you should always get a quest when one is due. Wrong Timer Display - The "Next event in" countdown on the Quest page was counting down to the next hour, but timed quests actually generate every 2 hours. The timer now shows the correct countdown. Visual Polish - Replaced several leftover placeholder icons on the Quest page with proper game icons (pin markers, XP indicators, item rewards, countdown timers, and the Feature Unlocks header). If you notice anything else off with the timed quest system, let us know! -- Visseron Games

Let's dive right in with the upcoming features and changes that are slated for late June!PropsSome of you might have played a much earlier version of Lazy Train Game that included props that you could decorate with. I had removed them at one point to make sure I could focus on the core gameplay. Now that the game is in a pretty good place, it seems like a good time to add them back in. All three scenarios have been updated with new track placement locations and challenges. Thanks again to Bublets Gaming for giving some awesome ideas and finding some good locations to hide some of the collectibles.Key BindingsSeveral people asked for this, and I know it's important to many people. So, here it is!Nerfed Auto CollectorsAuto collectors used to simply collect resources and store them in any storage unit. Some people brought this up in Steam Discussions, and even I thought this was pretty goofy to do this, but didn't have time to change it before release. Now how auto collectors work is they will only auto collect resources for storage units that are connected to the auto collector, or each other, as long as they continue to be the same resource type. So, if it's a wood collector and it has a wood storage next to it, and if that wood storage unit had another wood storage connected to it, then it will auto collect for those two storage units. If there is a non wood storage unit at any point it will break the chain and anything beyond that will not auto collect.Curved Storage Tracks!This feature has also been requested by several people. With the change to auto collectors, this seemed like an obvious next addition. You will also be able to have fabricators in much tighter areas without running out of room to place storage units...
