Thanks to the player who reported an issue of the timer not saving when quitting we missed during testing. The timer and other variables will save continuously and when quitting (closing the window, alt-f4). We also added a quit button!
Ok, so the last patch made Roguelike Endless mode a bit too endless. So in this patch I tried to find a middle ground between the wall that existed in 1.6.1 and then linear scaling in 1.6.2. Let me know if this feels better. My goal is for the game to end at some point but for you to be able to push against the game to compete with each other to find a true world record sort of run. Added a % of the level indicator to the game over screen so you can see how far you got. Update the record for Roguelike mode to now show the level you achieved and the percent through that level. For example 12.56 would mean I beat level 12 and got 54% of the way to level 13. My goal here is to support showing off your best runs with each other.
Stability & Polish Patch A few players have reported rare cases where the game window would freeze or go black during play sessions. This update ships a wave of defensive fixes targeting the most likely culprits. FixesSplash screen — Added a safety timer so the intro always fades out cleanly, even if the underlying event glitches. No more "stuck on logo."Prestige loading overlay — Same safety net. The overlay is now guaranteed to clear.Page transitions — Hardened against timer throttling when the tab is in the background. Coming back from Prestige or NG+ should no longer leave a dark screen on top of the game.WebGL recovery — If the GPU context is lost mid-session and fails to restore (driver glitch, out-of-memory), the game now automatically falls back to a lightweight 2D renderer instead of leaving you with a black cube area.
Greenhearth Necromancer is a semi-idle witchy gardening sim. You play as a young necromancer who has inherited their greenwitch grandmother’s co-op apartment unit, as well as her renowned balcony garden — but you don’t have any idea how to care for a garden! Luckily, as a necromancer, you can revivify the dead plants into unlife and use your magic to help care for them.Keeping Your Plants Alive-ishThe primary gameplay of Greenhearth Necromancer consists of taking care of your plants. Each plant has particular light and humidity needs, meaning different species will thrive in different parts of your balcony. Each plant also needs regular water and fertilizer — but try not to give them too much! You’ll have to brew new fertilizer using ingredients you harvest from your various plants, and you can learn lots of different fertilizer recipes that provide different bonuses. You’ll also have to learn and brew pesticides and fungicides to protect your plants from nasty contagions. Or, if you’re a student of Blighted Necromancy, you might even want to cultivate those pests to power your spells! Because that’s right, you’re also a necromantic witch, and that means you have much more than mundane water and fertilizer to keep your plants thriving. You can learn up to 51 different spells across 5 schools of necromancy that you can cast on your undead plants. Each spell has a different effect, and many can combine in powerful ways. You can experiment freely through trial and error, or read the descriptions of spells and plants in your Spellbook and Codex to get a sense of what might work best! Of course, these spells also cost ingredients or your Social Battery to cast, so watch your resources. Finally, fertilizers and pesticides aren’t the only things you can brew: there’s a whole recipe book full of potions to learn and use, each creating long-lasting and powerful effects that work on living and undead plants alike. I can't describe how grateful I am to see so many people playing my game for hours and even finishing it! I was not expecting such a positive reception when I released the game 2 weeks ago.Thank you also for all the great feedback, especially regarding quality-of-life improvements.
