Hi everyone! Thank you so much for the amazing reception The Last Cat in the Universe has had in these first few hours. We've been closely watching your feedback and we already have our first small patch ready to fix a few minor issues. Patch 1.0.1 Notes: Fixed a bug that unintentionally made some upgrades free. Fixed an issue that caused the final cutscene to play more than once. Fixed the cat's purring sound triggering at the wrong time. Added a couple of extra dialogue lines. Fixed translation errors in the Russian, German, French, Portuguese, and Italian versions. What are we working on next? We are still reading everything you post and are already preparing future updates. We specifically want to mention that we are paying close attention to the game's overall balance, evaluating ways to improve it, especially in the late-game sections. We are also keeping a very close eye on localization. If you are playing in a language other than English or Spanish and spot any mistranslations, we would be incredibly grateful if you could report them to us in the Steam community forums. I've increased the amount of bonus from the wheel itself. Hey galactic defenders!It's already been 24 hours since Holding Pattern launched on Steam! We see you have been enjoying the game so far, but we noticed a few issues popping up, especially for MacOS users! We're releasing a day 1 patch to help with this, but we also have questions for you!Patch notesFixed MacOS skill tree bug, where you cannot upgrade skills or move the tree around using the mouse.Fixed an issue where the 'windowed' settings option would not saveAdded 'no cash' and 'no damage' options to settings. Turn these on if you find the cash or damage markers too annoying, and want a cleaner game! We see there are a few other, minor bugs people have discovered, and we will be looking into those in the coming days!New SkillsWe're going to release a few new skills across the coming days, in particular to enhance the late-game experience. Речь, конечно, о багах, подвисаниях, шероховатостях и прочих проявлениях цифрового саботажа, которые местами мешали выполнять ваш священный бюрократический долг. Обновление 1 — первый большой шаг к тому, чтобы привести «Носковраздор» в то состояние, которого он заслуживает: более стабильное, более удобное и просто более приятное для игры. Итак, с должным административным чувством ответственности заявляем: работа началась. Что нового в Обновлении 1? Исправлены известные баги с терминалом и электронной почтой. Работа ведомственных цифровых систем стала надёжнее. Там, где раньше происходили странности, теперь должно происходить только плановое ограничение доступа. Исправлена проблема, из-за которой при блокировке через терминал игра могла зависнуть на неопределённое время. Теперь процедура внесения ресурса в реестр должна проходить без внезапного ухода в административную бездну. Реализован лок FPS (от 10 до 240 FPS, стандартное значение — 60 FPS). Для тех, кто любит тонкую настройку производительности, а также для тех, кто опасался присутствия майнеров и прочего вредоносного криптософта в игре. Да, в игре изначально не было никаких майнеров — просто включить вертикальную синхронизацию и убедиться в этом додумались не все. We're in the final steps of getting Steam Cloud shipped! Since we haven't had a chance to test it on Steam Deck yet, we have opened a public beta branch first rather than pushing the update out to everyone. To help us test the new save system, you can opt in to the beta branch by: Right-Clicking Fishing Inc in your Steam Library -> Properties -> Game Versions & Betas -> Select "SteamCloudBeta"If you run into any issues, please let us know on the Discord. And if it works fine for you, that's also really helpful to hear. After confirming the save system works great for everyone, we will push this to the main branch.As we can't currently test this on Steam Deck. Hey everyone,This time a pure hotfix. A few of you posted on the forums this week about the game launching, showing up in the taskbar, and then... not actually being there on the desktop. A couple of others noticed FPS dropping since the last patch. Both should be fixed, both in this build.🖥 The window comes backIf your monitor was shorter than the window the game was trying to draw (most 1080p setups once you scaled the window up), it was getting centered partially above your screen — title bar in negative territory, the rest clipped by the top edge. That happens quietly on first launch now, which means the game no longer falls back to a default position that doesn't fit.Ctrl+R still resets the window to the center if you've been fighting it.💾 Save system stops punching the frameFixed the FPS drop a few of you reported since v1.5.100. Short version: there were around twenty places in the code that wrote to disk synchronously on the main thread during gameplay. Every biome switch, every volume slider move, every environment level-up would stop rendering for a few milliseconds while the full save state hit the disk. On a small save with a fast SSD you wouldn't notice. With a fuller save and a slower drive some of you were eating 5-50ms hits multiple times a minute.All of those writes now go through the background save thread the game already had running.Same data safety — the cache is updated instantly, the disk write just doesn't block your fram...

Account management fixes & improvements

Our account management system went live yesterday with great success As expected, there were also things that needed fixing and tweaking. Here's what has changed since yesterday:Registering a master account by email will now immediately open up character management with your new account so that you don't accidentally leave the registration menu and register another account using a different log-in method and get your accounts mixed upAdded an email confirmation input field to the registration viewYou'll no longer automatically be logged into a newly created character if you create the character from the game scene whilst already logged into a characterYou can no longer switch to a recently created character whilst already logged into another character. When logging onto a character for the first time, it needs to happen from the main menuResetting your password in the main menu now initiates password recovery for legacy accounts as wellAdded a "Forgot password?" button to the legacy character import panelAccounts on very old save files (accounts that have not logged on in years) wouldn't be correctly picked up by the name checker during character registration, meaning that the name checker could incorrectly tell you that a username is available when it was in fact takenAccounts that hadn't been accessed since game modes were a thing (late 2023) could be imported to a master account but wouldn't be visible in the character management view, as the system failed to assign them a game mode. FixedGuest accounts can no longer import characters until they secure their account with a log-in methodFixed a niche character state issue causing a few users unable to properly access their character management
