Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄 Like with almost all my updates, I’ll start by saying that this will be the last one for quite a while, as I need to focus on my next game (Wishlist it on Steam). Buuut… with all the love Burgie’s gets every day, the lovely reviews, and the streamers who play it and have a great time… here I am once again 😅 This new update includes: 🥤 Drinks system: With 3 basic drinks, and leaving the door open to possibly add lids and straws in the future. 🍟 Tray system: Set up so that new products can be added later on, such as fries, nuggets, chicken burgers, onion rings, and more. ⛄ New customers: Now there's a total of 31 different skins. 18 common, 2 Halloween, 6 Xmas, 2 secret & 3 streamers. 🎁 Little Christmas surprise: I said there wouldn’t be a Christmas DLC this year… and I kept my promise 😏 But I’ve added a small piece of free content that you can discover on your own. Next year, this will likely serve as the foundation for a much more polished Christmas DLC! Even though it may look like a small update, it took me longer than expected. Thanks for waiting on this batch of updates:Fixed the game selecting the German language sometimes, even though there was no translations to show, resulting in ???? everywhere.Made stickers and cogs cap to 1:1:1 rarity ratio at high upgrade levels. (Yay for more bronze cogs)Fixed tooltip not working properly with different text sizes.Fixed tooltip sometimes not working on controller.Fixed a case of INFERNO not activating.Stickers now flicker after the box has been cut, to show that you need to collect them.You can now drag to collect stickers.Upgrade notifications now reset after a while, so you remember to purchase old upgrades.

Visually, I only have this screenshot to show you of some Library UI tweaks. I am in a position where customizing UI is getting easier by the day, and I have complete control over when things like text need to be updated. For instance, if I gain some KWL, it should change the value and the text. I use a pretty complicated system that involves chaining the game data and the text. Technicals if you're interested:There is a notification producer and a notification consumer that handles this behavior. The producer: emits a notification if the value it holds changes. The consumer: receives a notification from a producer or another consumer. Also emits a notification if a change was made and it passes it onto other consumers.KWL would be a producer, and the text would be a consumer because it relies on KWL to change via gameplay. KWL gets updated every game tick. At the start, this text updates once every 10 seconds. No need for text to check every frame. It is possible for other consumers to check if the text changed, for whatever reason....What this means moving forward:With more control over the UI, the better the UX and more interesting the UI can look. I hope you're all enjoying the Winter Festival event!Ever since the game's release, the most common dislike that we've been hearing about has been that the game requires a lot of attention, especially for an idle game.
