Hello everyone! The new version with long-awaited changes is finally here! Here’s a list of the most important updates: Workshop support and editor: You can now download user-created Pals from the Steam Workshop or create your own directly within the TaskPals app. Multiscreen support: If you have multiple monitors, you can move Pals seamlessly between screens. Reworked interaction system: You can now drag and throw Pals around your screen with the left click, and pet them with the right click. (Note: heart particles have been removed.) New user interface: A fresh look to enhance your experience. As I have limited hardware and knowledge, there might be things I’ve overlooked. I kindly ask for your patience with any bugs you encounter, and I’ll do my best to address them as soon as possible. Plans for the future New tutorial: A detailed guide on how to use TaskPals and create new Pals. Pal competitions: I’m planning to organize a few competitions to showcase the best user-created Pals. Performance optimizations: I’m currently testing a new rendering method for TaskPals. While it’s an improvement, I’m still not satisfied with the resource usage. Further optimization is a priority. Modular behaviors: I’m exploring the idea of adding customizable behavior options for Pals during creation. Screen resolution fix. All screen resolutions should now be supported with display resolutions being detected. Added awards for Firm Season Rankings. Awards will be awarded to members of firms that finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the Season Rankings (Profit) for each season.

Hello, Catalysts! So, technically this is a smaller patch, hence why it's v2.4b and not v2.5. There's no new big features or buildings or anything in this, but there's a lot of little changes that add up, and some of them affect a lot of what you're looking at. Namely: Text outlines!! Adventurer names and button labels have outlines on the text now, which changes the "visual identity" of the game a lot IMO. I'm a bit of a stickler for visual details. I also rewrote the tutorial card to make it flow a lot better and unlock in piecemeal; i noticed a lot of players just skimmed through the card and forgot about it, since they didn't have any context for what they were reading. Now it should stay a lot more relevant! UI: Held items are a little more...glowy. Added new cooler-looking UI for hold clicking. Adventurer nametags and button numbers have outlines now! Extra readability. Fixed a 0 showing up when placing a building. BUILDINGS: Added a new animated hint to SQ4's building related to the hold clicking change. SQ4's building now triggers a save when activated. Refined SQ1's update popup a little so it doesn't have an awkward empty space. Nerfed update rates of SQ3's buildings to balance out with the decor buffs. (that got ridiculous.) The bloodmoon inn can now hold every item a normal inn can. Fixed warehouses not triggering when they only have items. Fixed warehouses rarely filling a shop with an item that wasn't already in there. PROGRESSION: Redid the tutorial card with new dialogue, rearranged pages and an extra page to help with pacing. The tutorial card now hides most pages and is shown piecemeal as the pages become relevant. Fixed milestones popping up on the prestige screen. Fixed SQ7 not saving its completed status through prestiges, causing it to start and immediately finish.
Another Hot Fix just dropped. Here is what changed: - Fixed storage shelf - Fixed a bug when a player cannot see the vegetables on the garden bed after reloading - Fixed stutters caused by cars and customers spawn - Changed graphic settings - no more very high and ultra since it didn't make much of a difference visually but significantly affected performance - Fixed a bug where buttons in the settings menu don't work for some resolutions - Rework of item throwing, now you can see a trace where you throw - Added label with vegetable information on the garden bed
New Content 2 new dungeons have been added 14 new relics have been added. 3 new Blueprint mods have been added. Additional reputation bonuses have been added A few new retirement upgrades have been added, and 2 NYI tagged ones have been implemented Minor Changes Relic drops will now pop up and notify you when they happen. You can toggle this off. Sound effects are now their own toggle separate from music. Sound effects have been added in a few places. All Achievements except the Discord and Steam ones now have Steam tags, so they'll have associated steam achievements once the storefront changes replicate. A few more achievements have been added. Filled in some additional information for some things that had none existing. Bugfixes Some values were being truncated while determining item price and power, Items should be worth more. Some issues with the old notification system have been fixed, though many are currently toggled off regardless. Minor balance Early game materials recieved a slight boost in default production speed Misc Backend changes A few values have been upgraded to BigNums from Doubles or Ints in the game and editor tool, and a few optimizations have been done to balance out the slower processing speed of bignums. Game data editor has recieved a facelift and added a few more features that should speed up adding content Discord bot account linking functionality improved and tested (game implementation not included)
In this update I added Auto saving so the game automatically saves every 20 seconds however there is no indication of the save. The game will continue to still try to save when the game is closed. The game is still available for download through itch.io for MacOS users as steam requires the game to be signed for MacOS.

The first Hot Fix is dropped. We hope we have sorted the majority of the critical issues found so far. Here are some of the things that were fixed: - Canceling the action when trying to drag an item now works correctly. - Fixed UI getting stuck when opening the wheel. - Fixed UI bug when you close Settings/Main menu but it stays on the screen - More resolutions were added to avoid overlapping the widgets. - Tutorials can be closed with Esc if the button doesn't work. - Fixed a bug where the "Finish the day" button didn't appear. - Fixed a bug where the player couldn't finish the day inside the house. - Motion blur can be fully turned off now. - Fixed a bug when you can't drop a box - Fixed a bug with mouse sensitivity - Fixed a bug when the name of the paint disappears after purchase - Fixed a bug when sprinklers don't attach to the planter - Fixed a bug when sprinklers don't save on day change - Fixed a bug when customers don't pay for goods and blocked the cash register - Fixed a bug when customers don't add goods to the cash register - Partially fixed a bug when boxes got stuck in a hand truck, now if you add a new box, the old one will be dropped on the ground, hopefully, it will be fully fixed in the next update - Performance improvements Note that this is only the first patch, we working hard to bring more fixes. If you opt in to the beta, please report any potential issues or bugs in this new update. ːPfoxː The Golden Fish is a spawn that will appear at level 5 or higher and has a base value of 100 coins for catching it. It will roughly spawn once every minute (though its spawn rate is also affected by your level, so at higher levels it can spawn much faster). Your garden expansions also determine how many can exist at the same time (like with regular fish). The Golden Fish is much more prone to jumping, so it should give you ample opportunity to catch it, and even if you miss it, it will turn around and come back to continue swimming in the waters until you do. ːPdolphː To switch to the beta version (or switch back to the normal one): 1 - In your Steam library for Plantera 2: Golden Acorn, click on the cogwheel on the right side and choose "Properties." 2 - In the Steam panel that opens, click on the "Betas" tab. 3 - To the right of "Betas Participation," there should be a drop-down menu (currently set to "None"). Click on it and choose "Beta - Golden Fish v1.1.8." 4 - Close the Steam panel, and the game should update to the beta (it will display "beta" to the right of the Play button when installed). 5 - To switch back to the non-beta version, you can follow the steps above but choose "None" in the Betas tab.
