Fixed a bug where a certain 2 achievements weren't unlocking properly!
Changes include: Increased homing bullet count from 6 -> 12 Increased spiral bullet count from 6 -> 12 Increased rotating bullet count from 24 -> 48 Significant performance improvements. High and low end devices will now clock-in about 60 FPS consistently while harvesting. The total number of asteroids spawned on the screen at once also now adapts to the FPS of the game on your device. This means higher end devices and possibly some lower end devices will be able to spawn more asteroids on screen at once and will adapt according to your system. This should help performance as well as improve gameplay for those who can handle more asteroids at once. Slightly decreased the gradual rise of power loss to make runs a little longer. Hey again. Mostly due to the fact that I published the game prematurely due to a deadline I had set for myself. Some reasons why I'm planning to update this game is because one, I like working on the games I make and want to keep making them better if I can (I just can't help myself from not updating it lol), and two, I can keep working on my other game alongside updating this one since I have some time due to the holiday season so it all works out. Anyways, my goal is to update the talent tree to feature more upgrades and reduce the amount of percent upgrades overall. These upgrades will mostly include stuff that "pop" on the screen. I didn't want any flashing lights in my game which is why the upgrades are tame but I now feel like abilities that somewhat flash all over the place are just generally more fun (probably why casinos are designed like that). Last week, we rolled out a major overhaul to the battle system along with adjustments to many other parts of the game. We understand that the update fell short for many of you, and we’ve been working tirelessly to address the issues. Since the update launched, we’ve released several hotfixes to resolve the concerns you raised. Unfortunately, in our haste to fix some problems, new ones were introduced. While we should have been more diligent, we believe that many of the most pressing issues have now been resolved. That said, we’ll likely need to release one or two more hotfixes to wrap things up. While we did have several testers playing the game before launch, nothing compares to the feedback from thousands of players. Resolved Issues: Lag over extended periods of time: This issue took the longest to resolve as there were no clear indications of its cause. After optimizing many parts of the game, we discovered it was due to a single line of code that had been accidentally commented out. While this issue persisted longer than we’d hoped, the optimizations we implemented in the process should lead to a better-performing game overall. Monster balance: Adjusted certain monsters to make battles a little easier in some areas of the game. Battle tutorial improvements: Enhanced explanations for how battles work, with more updates planned to make things even clearer. Upcoming Fixes: Remaining scientist issues: Final tweaks to ensure smooth functionality. Screen flickering: A brief flicker occurring every five minutes (caused by a prior attempt to fix lag) will be removed. Enhanced tutorials: Further improvements to the battle and gem forge tutorials. Hello all! Today I am happy to announce a major update for Idle Fields, version 1.3! Within the mountains, you can now mine ores and hire workers to help you. There are 7 total ores to mine and 50 new levels to unlock! Smithing Smithing is another new skill to Idle Fields. Smith ores into bars and turn those bars into new tools. You can make axes, pickaxes, and new fishing rods to boost your other skills' productivity. One worker is also available for smithing to automatically smelt ores. Controller Support Controls have been re-worked entirely to work on gamepad. This should work as soon as you pick up your controller. This is a feature that has been requested for a bit and I am happy to finally say it is here. This new area houses two new skills, mining and smithing. NEW SKILL: Mining. This skill allows you to get ores that can later be smelted. NEW SKILL: Smithing. Pickaxes, axes, and fishing rods can now be upgraded to deal more damage or catch fish faster. Tools must be selected for each worker in the outfits tab. Tools cannot be granted by recyclers. Added two new outfits. One for mining, one for smithing. Removed the ability to re-size the window due to it causing problems.
