Each of these new survivors comes with a quest connected to their backstory for you to explore. I still remember how I didn’t sleep at all the first week, figuring out the crashes that affected some players.But a whole year has passed since then, and a huge number of major updates have been released — especially compared to other games in this genre. In just a moment — a full 49 public updates!In this post, I want to sum up the results, go through most of them, and also tell you a little about the plans for the future. WHAT HAS ALREADY HAPPENEDEach game update brought very important and noticeable changes. There’s no point in even trying to write everything here, but I want to highlight the most important ones:May — North African countries and alliances addedJune — significantly improved map quality, FSR, nuclear explosion traces, full-scale offensive and electionsAugust — mentality, AI wars, region population, map normal textureOctober — saves, parliament, significant economic improvementsDecember — content for Germany, France, Spain; new laws, 1800 cities on the map, region names, improved military AI, troops capture up to three provincesMarch — incredibly large-scale content for Ukraine, the economy updated again, auto-saves, major bug fixes, incredible script and loading optimizations, supply system, debts. The medieval theme is part of the game's natural DNA—knights, murmillo, sword clashes—you can find us on the festival page. And while we're here, we'd like to say: a new version is coming soon.The ongoing community test is nearing its end. We've received more feedback than expected and are continuing to make adjustments. The new version is expected to officially launch next week. If there are no delays, you'll be able to update directly on Steam without any extra steps.While waiting for the official release, we've also refreshed the store page visuals.The new version focuses on two core elements. First is the new character: Murmillo. Armed with a shield in the left hand and a diagonal blade in the right, he can switch between two combat stances. This character was released in our community test in early April, and we believe some of you have already tried him out. First of all, wow. Fracture Field hit 3,600 concurrent players on launch day and I'm completely blown away. As a solo developer, seeing that number was surreal. Thank you to everyone who picked up the game, left a review, and jumped into the quarry on day one.I've been reading all of your feedback closely, and this first patch addresses some of the balancing concerns many of you raised, particularly starting around Iron progression pacing.
