Hey everyone,If you've seen the reviews about saves disappearing after a power cut or a PC restart, this is the patch that fixes it. Two specific reviews from April 30 and a small pile of similar reports lined up on the same root cause, so I rebuilt the save backup pipeline from the ground up.What was wrongThe game wrote one backup file next to the main save. A power loss at exactly the wrong moment could corrupt both at once, and then Steam Cloud would sync the broken save to your other machines. No way back from there.What's different nowTwo backup generations instead of one. The current backup gets rotated to a "previous" slot before any new write, so if the new backup write gets cut off, the older snapshot is still intact.Backup writes now actually hit the physical disk before the game treats them as done. Modern operating systems delay disk writes for performance, and a power loss in that delay window used to take everything with it. The new code forces the OS to commit the bytes to the platter before moving on (fsync on Mac and Linux, FlushFileBuffers on Windows).Every save write is verified by re-reading the file before the backup gets touched. If somehow the main save came out unparseable, recovery falls back to the previous backup instead of overwriting it with the bad data.Recovery is non-destructive now. The old code consumed the backup during recovery, so a single bad attempt could leave you with no backup at all. The new code copies the backup into place instead and keeps the source untouched for the next try.The "Wipe and Restart" button actually wipes everything now. The old version was leaving backup files behind, so the next launch would silently restore your old progress. That probably explains a couple of "I can't reset my save" reports I couldn't reproduce.Side files that were bypassing the protectionsThe hardening above existed for the main save, but three side files (wheel drop timer, jukebox playlist, Steam progression) were writing directly w...
To celebrate Idle Bicep's 3rd Birthday, I've made this 2nd customization update, that expands what was possible with mods. Hey everyone! We've been hard at work squashing bugs and polishing things up based on your reports. This patch covers a couple of weeks of fixes. There's also some new content sprinkled in. Read on for the full rundown! ✦ What's NewYou can now switch the current stage to a visited one directly in the settings. Added a larger UI scale option for better readability on bigger screens. Slimes, Crystal Crab, and Spitfrog have new visual variants. Keep an eye out! 🌐 MultiplayerLobbies have been reworked with improved logic and a much cleaner layout. You can now join a random lobby if you just want to jump in. Taps now correctly sync to other players in the session. 🔧 Bug FixesFixed a bug where taps could overflow and cause incorrect values at high counts. Swapping rings in your equipment slots no longer wipes your stats. Mummy Wraps and Dragon Helmet now do what they're supposed to. Chest item drops were occasionally disappearing — fixed. Fixed several crashes that could happen during normal play. Tooltips now close when you move your mouse away (finally). Auto-upgrade now works correctly at all times, not just when the book is open. Sell Duplicates no longer incorrectly sells your highest level item first. Fixed inputs being missed when playing at low FPS. Pirate bosses now count correctly toward enemy totals. Critical hits now restore the right amount of health from lifesteal. A bunch of items that weren't triggering their effects properly have been fixed. Fixed various UI elements overlapping or appearing in the wrong layer. ⚖️ BalanceBurn damage has been increased — fire is more threatening now. Lifesteal has been rebalanced across the board. The cannon now deals different damage depending on the projectile type. Item upgrade costs have been adjusted to better reflect rarity. General tweaks to combat feel and enemy difficulty. After some feedback from the community I've fixed some issues: - Find all Jumboo achievement should now trigger for everyone (anyone that can't trigger it may have to start again to trigger it. Apologies!) - Fixed issue where buttons in main menu wouldn't work for some unless language was changed - UI fixed for Ultra widescreen users That's all for now! Next update will be adding some more detailed icons and some optimisation for the upgrade screen.

There's a small chance of a certain glitch happening with any version prior to 2.2, where your SAVE FILE CAN CORRUPT and you will LOSE ALL DATA, ESPECIALLY if you are getting to extremely high levels on Brain Booster on v2.0. I highly recommend everyone, even those enjoying the unbalanced nature of v2.0, to update to v2.2. The game is more fun there, I promise. I've also set the scaling back down to 1.15x instead of 1.2x for Lab Assistant and Brain Booster and created a "max price" to prevent negatives once players get to the quintillions. I'm also aware that past a certain amount of vials the value interferes with and gets caught behind the progress bar. I'll fix this in the next update, along with other potential bugs I'll try finding.

Hello Land Drifters!I've been busy with a new feature but felt like there was some things I could add to hold you over!Check out the Quest Board, you'll notice a new quest for those who have at least reached the fifth zone.I wonder what it could do?For those who have reached the third island might also notice someone locked upThe Focus Ambush also got modified a bit, how it works will be more obvious, taking time off the initial attack (not a percentage), and will now always work even when the passive isn't on like other passives. It will also grow in power quicker at earlier levels.Energy will now also get offline exp and show that exp in the offline rewards. The individual activities will level up too, but there's too many to display in that window, so just the main energy levels are shown.Build 0.3.43-Added a new quest in the quest board to get a new item to aid you in combat.-Added a jail to the first zone in island 3 for a character cosmetic.-The passive "Ambush" has had some changes. It now grows in value quicker. The text has been modified since it takes time off your first attack rather than a percentage. How this is displayed in combat has also changed, it will lower the attack speed number rather than just having the bar start at a higher percentage. It also used to require the passive to be enabled to benefit from it, but now it works regardless like other passives.-Energy experience now is gained and displayed in offline rewards. Note: The abilities gain exp too, but there's too many to display so just the main levels are shown.-Fixed the graphics in a waterfall in fishing zone 7.-Some gathering talent description changes.
