Ascensions!Ascensions work very similarly to the Prestige system, but with a new added difficulty layer and a huge new set of bonuses. The ascension system isn't technically fully available at this time, but will be very soon. LAUNCH PAD Reworked rocket launches — flight phases on the CRT screen, propellant draining in stages. Just looks cooler. Drill target picker moved to a second CRT screen built into the launch pad — slides in when you click CHOOSE TARGET, much more immersive. New "SHOW CURRENT TARGET" / "SHOW LAST TARGET" button above LAUNCH — jumps straight to the orbit map centred on your active or most recent drill chunk. UI Resource bar rows stop flickering — once seen this prestige, they stay at "0" instead of disappearing. Once you get your hands on it, you'll find it's simply a magical tool for tooth collection!Arcflash TailfinEvery time your team attacks an enemy, the number of teeth dropped by the enemy increases by 100%.You might think it's not that powerful at first and wonder, "What's the use of this?" But think about it this way. Before, every time you killed a monster, you got one set of teeth. If you encountered a tougher monster that couldn't be killed with one shot, wouldn't your gains be greatly reduced? But now, with the "Arcflash Tailfin", even if you can't kill the monster right away, after multiple attacks and finally defeating it, the total number of teeth dropped is equivalent to that of n monsters you killed in one hit!What does this mean? It means that no matter how tough the monsters are, your tooth collection efficiency won't decline at all! No need to worry about reduced gains just because the monsters get stronger. With the "Arcflash Tailfin", tooth collection will be a breeze. Edit: The Mac OS version of this update is now available.⚙️ Automation Updates ⚙️We have greatly simplified 2 aspects of automation and improved the tutorial text. All pylons can now "fork", meaning they can all transfer to multiple containers. The fork pylon has been transformed into the teleporter pylon, which will make it easier to transfer items over a long range. The tutorial text has been updated to be a bit more intuitive and human readable, not technical. Your previous machines will still work, but you can probably simplify your machines by removing some redundant parts and retrieving their items. 🏴☠️✏️ Minor Updates ✏️These updates are oriented around making the game easier to learn and play. A notification symbol will now remind players to look at the item book. Important upgrades which players were getting stuck on will now situationally animate in the upgrade tree to show the player where to progress to next. The resolution setting is a dropdown now. It's not perfectly stylish yet but much better than what was there before. Blueprints being placed have a blue radius area instead of a green area to differentiate them from already placed buildings. Blueprints aren't ordered based on when you unlocked them anymore; they are ordered more intuitively and consistently now. 2 more levels were added to the crafting capacity upgrade. Now at level 5 you can fill a crafter with stacks of up to 40 items, which matches the maximum inventory size. 🐛 Bug Fixes 🐛These were some commonly noted bugs. Previously, after upgrading a transfer pylon's effective range, it would not show the new range during placement. This bug should be fixed now, but stay vigilant. Refunded items from Pont's shop were unretrievable. This is fixed. Attention, fellow cultists. The Devourer needs a hug. We've had a few fun weeks since our last update working on adjustments and new mechanics and visuals. We are starting to get more and more coverage of the game by content creators on YouTube and are always delighted to get the chance to see people enjoying the game. A special shout-out to @GrayStillPlays on YouTube for doing a fantastic video this week. We'd recommend everybody check out the video and his channel. The big news this week is that our old galaxy upgrade visualization has been replaced by a brand new beautiful sigil design with some unsettling animations and sound effects. The Devourer approves. While we loved the old galaxy design, this new format is designed to be more usable and to really show your progress and what you upgraded through the levels. Even bigger news than that is our new upgrade mechanic and visual in The Chosen mode. While The Spoiled mode retains the current random 3-upgrade selection, we experimented with a new concept in The Chosen mode. We've been hearing a lot of feedback that players would like to have more control over the path of upgrades they choose, especially as the shrines and new upgrade options unlock. So after some playtesting, we created the new radial upgrade selection panel where you can choose any of the available upgrades whenever you want. The only rule is that you can only choose the same upgrade once per level. This rule was already in place behind the scenes in our select-3 mode for the best upgrades with a backend cooldown function. We feel this gives more transparency to how that mechanic works but allows you more options so you don't have to rely on RNG. Give it a shot and tell us what you think.
