Beta Release v09 - Incremental Factory: Infinite

As many of you know, I have been working on v0.8 for quite some time, pushing to expand Incremental Factory into a much larger conceptual world. After all, one thesis for Incremental Factory is: scale is fun (= the factory must grow).Once I rolled out v0.8 to our amazing early testers, I realized that while the game was resonating, something was missing: the iconic graph-based factory screenshots that so many of you shared with the rest of the community stopped.I found myself missing that. And while v0.8 adds so many other things that are exciting and interesting, it does not deliver that.I wanted to return to that pure graph-based factory-building experience, but I didn't want to abandon the world we built for v0.8. Then the answer clicked: game modes. That idea unlocked everything. I rebuilt and refactored large parts of the game from the core outward: a multithreaded simulation, a new rendering layer and generally cleaner architectural foundations, with the ultimate goal of enabling player-created game modes and even modding. And that is where Incremental Factory: Infinite was born.Infinite focuses on the essence: building, connecting, optimizing, and scaling one enormous graph-based factory. No combat. No resource depletion. No unnecessary artificial walls. Start with a trickle of stone, unlock new resource veins, and push every resource from scarcity all the way to infinity.v0.9 begins the era of game modes. Infinite will be my main focus first. The v0.8 experience continues as „Empire“, playable on the same rebuilt foundation and benefiting from every core improvement.Infinite is launching on the web alpha and on Steam Beta today. (switch to the "v09-beta" branch by selecting it in the games options from the steam library)I would love for you to build something enormous, push the new engine, and tell me how it feels. (There is now a built-in Feedback button in the settings!)The factory must grow.P.S.I just want to emphasize the amount of refactoring, rebuilding, ...

UI Improvements

Hello Everyone,I've been busy back porting UI and Steamdeck compatibility improvements from my next incremental game: Mining and Dwarves to Click and Conquer. This update should make the game more enjoyable to play on Steamdeck, and provides some QoL features to the UI such as font scale options to the settings menu.I also took the time to make some tweaks to the UI to make it a little more polished. Not a complete overhaul, but some components should look a bit nicer. As always, thanks for all the support, reviews, and help with bug hunting. It is a huge help to me as a solo dev! Please keep the bug reports coming, especially if I broke anything or made anything worse with this update.

Road to Idle Life 1.0 - Small Help Book Update 📖

Small Help Book Update 📖Hey everyone,This update adds a small Help Book to Idle Life. The Help Book is not meant to be a forced tutorial that stops you from playing. Instead, it is a simple guide book that you can open whenever you want to understand a system better. The goal of this update is to make Idle Life easier to understand, especially for new players, without taking away the freedom to explore the game at your own pace. New Help Book 📘A new Help Book has been added to the game.It gives short explanations for the most important areas and systems in Idle Life. You can use it whenever you are unsure what a system does or how a part of the game works. The Help Book currently includes pages for:First StepsFarming AreaGatheringWildgroundResearch TreeInventoryEquipEnchantingCombiningShopEvents Why this was added 💡Idle Life has grown a lot over time, and more systems are now connected to each other. Some parts of the game are easy to miss when you see them for the first time, especially systems like equipment, enchanting, combining, the shop or events.Instead of adding a long step-by-step tutorial, I wanted to create something lighter and less annoying. The Help Book explains the basics, but still lets you continue playing the way you want. What the Help Book explains 🧭The Help Book gives a simple overview of the different areas of Idle Life. For example, it explains how to get started, how the Farming Area works, how gathering, crafting, smelting, and cooking are connected, what Wildground is used for, and how the Research Tree unlocks new content. It also explains player-related systems such as Inventory, Equip, Enchanting, and Combining, as well as community systems like the Shop and Events. Better for new players 🌱This should make the early game easier to understand without forcing every player through the same tutorial steps.New players can read the important information when they need it, while returning players can simply ignore the pages they already understand....

Talent Card Progression Improvements & Weather Event Balance Update

Hello everyone! I’ve made some changes to improve the progression experience and make unlocking new content feel more rewarding. 🎴 Talent Cards Are Now Easier to Obtain I heard your feedback about Talent Cards taking too long to unlock. This was a curator feedback. I've adjusted the unlock costs so that collecting new Talent Cards is faster and the progression feels smoother. You’ll now be able to discover and unlock new talents more frequently, especially in the early and mid-game. 🌦️ Weather Event Upgrade Cost Adjustments I've also reviewed the upgrade costs for the Weather Event and adjusted them to create a fairer progression curve. The goal is to make progression feel rewarding without the "grinding" feeling. Thank you for continuing to share your feedback and helping me improve the game! Good luck collecting those talents! 🎴✨

100 PLAYERS AT THE SAME TIME!? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

You guys are truly amazing and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you that played the game already this weekend! So between 14h and 16h UTC this saturday 18th July, there was exactly 100 concurrent players (100 at 14h, then 99 at 15h, and finally 99 at 16h, but still a hundred concurrent players!!!), all that within the first 48 hours after the launch! It's the first time for me that I have the chance to make a game that gather so many players, it's still hard for me to realize. And a bit more than 800 players have already bought and launched the game, I'm just speechless.I know the game is not perfect, I know I can still improve a lot as a solo indie dev, and finally there is sooo much more I want to create and give to you. But this 3rd weekend of July 2026 is where you can say that everything really started for me. You're making my dream come true, as making games is such a wonderful journey, and I just can't wait to keep improving and making games even better in the future with all the things I've learn along the way already. The path towards the top of the moutain never really ends, because when you're at the top, another moutain even bigger lies ahead!Again thank you so much, dear players!Alexandre

Update 1.0.2

This small update focuses on reducing stutters and fixing achievement issues, mainly around the shop, view transitions, and behavior observations.ImprovementsOptimized the shop’s initial opening and category switching to reduce stutters caused by loading item cards and substrate resources at once.Improved transitions between Desktop Mode and the full vivarium view, reducing window jumps and long stalls.Adjusted reflection handling on Windows to make transitions into the vivarium view more stable.Reduced unnecessary calculations when the gecko searches for a climbable observation spot, lowering the chance of brief stutters in complex enclosures.Reduced background scene processing while the shop is open, helping shop interactions stay smoother.FixesFixed an issue where seeing the gecko drink for the first time did not trigger the “Tiny Tongue, First Sip” milestone, its rewards, or the corresponding Steam achievement.Fixed hiding and sleeping inside a hide not being recorded as observed behaviors, which prevented their observation rewards and corresponding Steam achievements from unlocking.

🌍 Community Boosts, Nibbles & Progression Plans | v5.0.30 This update introduces two new optional Community Boosts, prepares the next Community Pet, improves Achievement icons, and includes several interface fixes and improvements. 🚀 New Community Boosts Two new Community Boosts have been added to the in-game shop. Any player can purchase these boosts and contribute time to the shared community timers. There is no limit to how much time can be stacked on either boost. Both boosts are available in: • 1-hour bundles • 3-hour bundles • 7-hour bundles • 24-hour bundles After purchasing a Community Boost, it should automatically activate for all players within a few minutes. Please allow a short amount of time for the purchased boost time to appear in-game. ⚡ Global Surge While Global Surge is active: • All online players click 20% faster • All online players receive a temporary 2× Player EXP multiplier The global click total increases faster because every online player personally receives the 20% click-speed boost. This permanent multiplier is applied to the Community Pet equipped when the boost time is purchased. It remains attached to that specific Community Pet after the temporary boost timer expires. 🐾 Nibbles Is Waiting to Hatch A new Community Pet named Nibbles is waiting to be hatched! v1.9.1 "Core Imprints Hotfix 1"

⚙️ Legacy of the Ark — v1.9.1 "Core Imprints Hotfix 1" Your progress is safe — no reset, and nothing you already own is taken away. 🐞 FIXED • Newly unlocked exploration crews were stuck. A fresh crew could never clear its first zone, so it cycled forever and paid out nothing until you funded its first upgrade from elsewhere. (thanks Xeen Dread) • Permanent Token Store boosts could be lost. After a cloud load the game held a stale copy of your permanent boost levels and wrote it back over the restored ones on your next purchase. Any levels lost this way are restored automatically from your purchase history. • Max-boost rewards now stack. Objective and daily rewards no longer overwrite each other's duration. • Permanent Automation Unlock only revealed the Systems/Drones/Fabricator tabs and never unlocked the automation behind them. It now does what the card says, and switches everything on when bought. (thanks Xekz) • Permanent Memories Unlock never did anything at all — it was looking for a tab under the wrong name. • Preserve Legacy Upgrades could walk your progress backwards. It now only ever raises it. • Deep Salvage no longer runs off the bottom of the screen, and the exploration page no longer shows a scrollbar when everything fits. ✨ NEW • Automation Pause Control (150 ARK Cores) — PAUSE ALL / RESUME ALL per automation category. • Maximum Automation Spend (100 ARK Cores) — automation only buys items under a ceiling you set. The opposite of the Energy Reserve. 🔧 CHANGED • Five Legacy Inheritance upgrades that had no real effect are no longer sold. If you already own one, you keep it. 💅 POLISH • ARK Operations has a new look, and Signal Watch now flashes each tap so repeating a colour reads as two presses. • The Crew Deck is far more compact — duty posts fit one row, exploration stats sit in two even rows.
