Hello everyone! I just posted a new video devlog on Youtube for Gelli Fields. This video has a little look into some of the bigger things I've been working on in the last 6 months. Where has the game been?Gelli Fields has continued development since the last post but due to personal issues over the last year I've had trouble organizing what all I've worked on which is unacceptable and I really apologize. I've not given up on the project or lost passion and I would like to keep up with more frequent updates to keep the community in the loop.When is launch?I'm working hard to launch the game as quickly as I can without rushing the project. I recently made the decision to lower the amount of biomes at launch to 4 instead of 6 so players can get their hands on the project much sooner. A ~3‑month window also gives me a proper testing period to make sure content is ready.I’m also juggling multiple projects, and EoV alone isn’t covering the bills right now—so spacing out updates keeps things sustainable.🪵 BarkleyBarkley will spend his time carving sticks and logs into fishing poles. He plans to use additional leather you bring him to create waders and wrappings, and bones to carve into hooks.🎣 GillGill will continue spending his days fishing—but now you can help him.You'll be able to:Watch his level growChoose which rod he usesPick between feathers and hooks to target specific fish types (including rare ones)I also plan to rework how buff slots unlock. Hey all, another patch! First of all we added the wallpaper used in the trailer to your game files if you wanted to use it. It's in your install folder and creatively named: "Official My Little Spider Wallpaper.png".Here it is if you wanted to download it separately:Furthermore, there are some more changes, these are related to the "JSON PARSE ERROR" issue that was causing saves to be corrupted and usable in some circumstances:Fix for a million bugs spawning if your pc went to sleep. (I know this was fun for some people but we have a sneaky suspicion that this may have been causing crashes on low end pc's.)Removed the autosaving based on time. (It still autosaves but only when something changes and it needs to, you don't need to manually save.)Made another technical change to hopefully stop the issue where saves would be corrupted if the users pc crashed or was force shut down while the game was running.The UI doesn't auto-hide when the game is first launched, to prevent some new-player confusion.All the best, Stevie & Evan
