Maintenance Update

Dear cave inhabitants, it has been some time since we released a maintenance update, for testing is always a complicated affair with this game. There have been a lot of small bug fixes accumulated over the last years, especially since the game was released for mobile devices and we optimised it for touch input. We also improved the anti-cheat and got rid of the online-only constraint. Now the game is also playable without internet on desktop, as on all other devices. However since Steam is the biggest player base for the game, this update will not be set live immediately but first via a beta access. If you're reading this, you can join the beta by taking the following steps: 1. Right-click on the game in library view 2. Choose Properties->Betas 3. Enter the secret code CaveSweetCave 4. Press "Check Code" and then opt into the longingupdate branch This will give you access to the newest version of the game. It would be great if many people joined this beta, so we know if there are still things we want to fix. After we're sure that the changes in the update are sufficient, we will then release it to all players. Important: If you still run into bugs after downloading this update, please comment directly under this news post so we know they are related to the new version. Thanks for your help! -Anselm

Bar Breaker v1.18 - Idle Gameplay Update

Hi all! One of the common feedback items has been that the game is partially an idle game, but there was no TRUE idle gameplay. This was due to the idle aspect requiring the player to hold down the mouse click, but again this isn't truly and idle experience, as it does require an action making it more active-idle. Auto-Click Rate Version 1.18 remedies that and replaces the Idle-Click Delay upgrade with an Auto-Click Rate upgrade which now makes it so the game will actually perform a "click" as if an actual mouse-click was performed, triggering all abilities that are click-based. While there will still be instances that clicks will be required, you can now sit back, relax, and enjoy the light show while racking in some monies for new upgrades. Thank you all for the support, I hope this improves your experience and satisfies the frustration of this being an "idle clicker" without having a true idle aspect. More updates are coming, and we're inching closer to the content update. Until next time!

Bar Breaker v1.16 is Out!

This update comes with some updated balancing for the entire game. Progression was just too fast, and it didn’t provide enough of a grind when playing, so hopefully this will lengthen the initial experience in a good way. I did my best not to go too far, and simply adjusted upgrade costs and bar health, giving a bit more of a purpose to upgrade the idle click speed, so you can hold your clicks and still do damage, when you need a break. Balancing: Increased the Bar’s health throughout all levels. Increase the prices of upgrades, stretching out the time to obtain them. Decreased the discount that the Mastery Level gives to new upgrades. Additions: Added a “Completion” bar in the upgrade menu that displays the highest bar level achieved to help visualize overall progress and current prestige goal. Fixes: Fixed an issue that caused music to still play even if muted when opening the menu and when performing a prestige. Various other bug fixes and tweaks. Thank you all for playing, and for the feedback! I really hope this improves the flow of the game, and creates a better experience. I will continue to listen and tweak things, so the game feels like an appropriate experience, making room for the new content update.

Now any Custom Catch images smaller than 65 pixels will now look nice and crisp You can now completely customize the chat message that posts a users catch to chat New chat commands to control LurkBait, check the Settings panel or the BLAM.cam website for a list of the new commands Critical bug-fixes for corrupted save data, LurkBait will now backup save data after every action and will automatically recover from backups if any corruption occurs. Anyone currently affected with save data corruption your app should now work correctly, but please reach out to me directly and I might be able to help you recover any lost data. Version 1.151 - Particle Hotfix

As far as I can tell, particles will likely be the culprit here, so I hope that this new settings allows more people to enjoy the game. This was a little rushed, so I will be performing more quality tests to ensure nothing else got tweaked improperly. Please write back with any feedback for other issues. Thank you!

Minor bugs and improvements! Thanks everyone for everyone for your continued support, this is relatively minor update with some important bug fixes and improvements to the bot integration systems. Boosting rares is now recorded for each queued cast when cast is first queued, not when the cast actually happens. The mute button state is now saved when opening / closing the app. For the nerds: the save data is now pretty formatted JSON to make it easier to read. Streamer.bot actions dropdown is now a much better experience. Thumbnail URL field is now fixed. Add new data fields to events, including catchAlertLevel and isNew. Fixed some bugs with the Streamer.bot integration and the UI. Added new more incremental LurkBait events, so it now goes "LurkBait Cast" > "LurkBait Snag" > "LurkBait Catch" > "LurkBait Catch Complete". You can now add decimals to the weight input field of custom catches. Turning Autohide on and off rapidly now no longer breaks the game. Fixed some bugs with custom audio not saving correctly when adding or editing custom catches. Stats command now displays the player gold and rank correctly based on whether you have "All-time Leaderboards" enabled. Fixed some more bugs with custom catches. Performance improvements to the Dex, Leaderboard and Custom Catch panels, especially if you have lots of custom catches.
