Hello everyone, it's me again! I'm Houki(Nancy), producer of Sensei! I Like You So Much!With the official release finally out, the main development work has wrapped up—and now I can finally come and share with you what comes next.The development of Sensei! I Like You So Much! took much, much longer than we originally expected. Along the way, because of my own immaturity, we stumbled through many obstacles and hardships. Now that the full version has finally launched smoothly, I can at last look back on everything with a calmer heart. No matter what kind of experiences they were, to us, it has all been a precious journey.Our core team is just three people. We've known each other for years: I (Houki) come from a gameplay design background, while Biu and XC are both artists. Starting from five or six years ago, we've been making small jam games together—silly little games meant to make people laugh.As we made more and more of these mini-games, the response was decent. And so, a dream gradually formed: we wanted to make a big game. A really big game. The “ultimate” game. That game turned out to be Sensei! I Like You So Much!At the time, due to real-life reasons, we poured everything we had into it—almost as if it would be our very last game. I crammed in every idea, every mechanic, everything I wanted to make. But of course, the scope of a big game isn't so easy to control. In truth, Sensei! I Like You So Much! won't be our last game. Nor should any single game be burdened with carrying one person's entire life, or a whole group's collective hopes.A pole position doesn't guarantee a podium. Even if you clock the fastest lap, it doesn't mean much; you might still collapse after just a few more rounds. August 22 Update

Hey everyone, I've decided to do a tiny update that adds a "Perfection" reward if you max all upgrades for the field. I decided not to make it a Steam achievement for now since I don't want to force people to idle the game so much just for 1 final achievement. It's just a cute little statue you'll get if you decide to go for it. Once you achieve perfection, there's one more upgrade that you can get that is not meant to be maxed out - it's just for fun. Perhaps it's possible to max it out if you idle the game for many days (I'm not really sure). It's really not all that interesting and I personally wouldn't bother with it but maybe there are some insane people out there who are into this sort of thing...I don't know...let's find out! For now, it's just one upgrade that decreases the spawn timer by 1% per level up to level 99 which would be a 99% decrease in the delay between grass spawns. So basically you just have endless grass uptime. I wanted to add an alternative ending where you save the world but for now I'll just keep it as is because the code for the ending sequence and scene is a mess. Maybe I'll do it in the future when I'm more motivated at some point. Also, I did the work for localization - putting all the text strings into a spreadsheet. I just need to find people to localize things and theoretically it should be pretty easy to put into the game. But I think there will be some places where the text gets cut off if the new string is too big. Well, eventually the game will be localized it's just not something that I'd call fun to do so I've been going pretty slow with it. Anyways, during development I got a couple interesting ideas for new games I've been trying to prototype. I'm not sure what I'm going to do next. I might just end up doing a sequel since the code is fresh in my head and I have some ideas for how the game could work differently or better. But starting from the beginning is somewhat daunting because I can feel the amount of work ahead. I wi...

Tower Behavior Fix (Sniper / Shotgun / Smelter)Previously, towers often rotated back and forth by 180° after each shot, wasting time instead of focusing on enemies.Now, before firing, a tower checks where it last shot. If an enemy is still there, it will keep shooting in that direction, reducing unnecessary spinning. Demo FixYou can now load the old demo saves again. ShopThe shop has been redesigned to make placing towers much faster and more seamless. Unlock AnimationMany players didn’t understand that unlocking a tower doesn’t automatically give it.
